Over 19 million households currently spend more than 30% of their monthly income on rent, leaving them with little to no ability to build a financial safety net. In 2025, Better Families Community Care’s Nonprofit Housing Program is set to offer a solution: an affordable rental unit where households will pay no more than 30% of their gross monthly income on rent and utilities.

This program goes beyond just providing affordable housing. It is designed to promote self-sufficiency by offering additional support, such as mentoring and scholarships, to help individuals advance in their education and careers.
